NYFW: Anna Sui Show

Stephanie Boho Dress

In honor of Anna Sui’s event I wore a boho look to the show.

I have to agree with my designer, Tiffany.  I am not a fan of the new venue.  It just seems blah compared to the character of Bryant Park.  My offices are right next to Bryant Park and I used to love walking home from work and running into models and celebrities dashing in and out of the tents.

Anna Sui and the Runway

Yesterday was the penultimate day of the New York show where I had the chance to see Anna Sui’s Spring 2016 Collection.

I have always been a personal fan of Anna Sui.  Her styling fits what I like to wear (loose flowing dresses with flowering and bright patterns).   In honor of her style, I decided to wear boho for the runway event.

Anna decorated the runway with palm trees and the music did transport me to Hawaii of the 1930’s.  She had ukuleles and vibrant colors that reminded me of the ocean.  She definitely invoked the Honolulu vibe in me.

Bowling shirts, souvenir jackets in a Anna Sui twist, mermaid like iridescent fabrics, lushly beaded pieces were some of the things I noticed.

Printed transparent fabrics used as a look of tattoo was amazing, hula skirt look was blended in 40% of the pieces in the right way; and amazing new prints including flowers, pineapples, geos and sea/ocean look.

Overall, I loved the show.  Anna, you did a great job as usual!
